What types of products can I build?
We are open to builders of any kind. However, we will focus our selection on products and companies that can be built or prototyped over the course of one month.
Do I need to be technical?
All participants should be able to build at least a prototype of their product. As such, we will prioritize builders who will be able to do this.
I don't have an idea – can I still join?
Yes! It's ok to start the program without an idea. We will provide participants a list of some of the ideas that excite us that you could build or you can collaborate with another participant on their idea. However, we do want everyone to leave the first weekend with an idea they are committed to building over the course of the month.
How much does it cost to participate?
The program is free to participants.
What does NQB8 provide?
NQB8 will provide participants access to free coworking space (equipped with snacks and coffee) during weekends and nights and direct guidance from NQB8 CEO Auren Hoffman and the NQB8 team. On the opening and closing weekend, we will also provide pizza, burgers, and lots of unhealthy food.
Will all participants receive funding?
Acceptance into the program doesn't guarantee funding, but NQB8 may be interested in funding or collaborating with builders following successful completion of the program.
Where is the coworking space located?
The space is located outside Washington DC in northern Virginia. The exact address will be shared with participants upon acceptance.
Can students apply?
Yes, Weekends and Nights is designed for exceptional builders, including students who can commit to building over the course of the month.
